NEED HELP W/ HOTELS IN FORT LAUDERDALE, FL!!!!!!!!!

Need help!!! FH and I are going to FL in less than 2 weeks and I need a hotel to stay at. FH is going to have his oral interview and testing with the Fort Lauderdale Police Dept and they recommended a few hotels. From that list I did a search on prices and also searched on TripAdvisor.com (like reading the reviews). But I am still at a loss. I don’t want a no-name place and I don’t want a bug infested-stuffy hotel. Also, we want one that is not SUPER expensive (b/c we’re staying for 5 nights) and FREE parking. Here is the list of prospects (*=the Police Dept recommended) Any feedback or suggestions are GREATLY appreciated!!!! TIA!!!!

I have stayed at one of those sheratons ( dont remember which one) and thought it was horrible for a sheraton.

Check out the brand new HARD ROCK SEMINOLE HOTEL.. Its BEAUTIFUL. Has a huge free form pool with waterfalls, lush landscaping, tons of restaurants on site.
Its in Fort Lauderdale but On an indian reservation. HUge casino, shows at night.
Not sure about the free parking.
The rooms are beautiful and clean.
It just opened not even an year ago.

Thanks, but that is a bit out of our price range. I checked pricing and it averages $165/night. FH doesn't want to spend that much. This is not really a vacation, so we can't splurge. And he may likely have to go down again in the near future.

i stayed at the holiday inn in hollywood beach- right on the beach.
it was not fancy by any means but it was wine

the yankee clipper is nice too
