My best friends daughter is turning 1. I want to get her something special.. I have no idea as to what to get her... any suggestions?

A big hit for my son was the Fridge Phonics magnets by leap pad. They learn so much from them!! theyre under $20. sold on amazon.com

A doll house or a play Kitchen, I know these are very sexist, but they were my girls' favorite toys at that age. Or baby doll stuff, a carriage,( it helps them to walk too,) a baby care center, etc

I second the baby doll stuff!
My daughter's favorite gifts for her 1st were the Hokey Pokey Elmo and any kind of toy she could push while walking. She also got the Leap Pad learning table which is still a favorite (at 21 months). Oh yeah, and a MAGNA DOODLE! She loves to draw but it saves my walls from having crayon marks all over it.
