Need help with 1st dance song

Hey girlies...

I need some help. For some reason I can't think of anything that I really love for our first dance. We really like something in the style of Scorpions' 'Maybe I Maybe You' song but 2 of my cousins used it as their first song for their weddings recently. We don't want to repeat.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

We are using Billy Joel's You're my home. I always wanted it to be my wedding song- thankfully FH loves Billy Joel like I do- didn't take much to convince him!

I like Fire House's 'Love of a lifetime' but I still like the Scorpion's song better....

Any other ideas?

I wont tell you what song to use, because I think it has to be really personal ...

What I would suggest doing is get a list of love songs of the genres you like, sit down with your FH and get on youtube.

Sit with him and listen to each one together, when you hear the one, you'll both know.

I did this, and I cried, like a baby through the whole song. He teared up a little too and when it stopped we sat in silence holding eachother.

I couldn't believe it. We found a song. We have complete opposite tastes in music too! The whole wedding music thing is a battle with us. He gets 50% of the choices, I get 50%.
