need help with bachelorette party idea's...

okay girls, I need to come up with a few REASONABLY priced suggestions for my sister's bachelorette party. I want to keep the cost low because if it gets out of hand I think some of the girls won't be able to make it.

With that said, club's/strippers/trip to AC or Mohegan/Foxwoods are not an option. Definitely not my sister's kind of thing. Ideally I'd like to keep it around $100-$150 a person.

And idea's?

2 rooms in AC for a sat nite.

book the rooms and split the cost...

then go to dinner, to a few of the clubs

the cabs are easy to get over there..

just have someone or 2 people drive down

editing original post: going away to AC or Mohegan or what not is also not an option.

Awesome 80's Prom...

We went last year for my MOH's party & the fun we had - we are still talking about a year later!!!!!

They have prices for different levels - premium bar, etc...

If you are into dancing - you cannot go wrong!!!!

how much is that cruise to nowhere? is that out of the question also?

What i would do is maybe set the day up in stages so people can participate in whichever part they feel comfortable

Part 1: spa treatments at a reasonably priced spa. . . so your sister can get a massage but you girls can just get pedicures or whatever you can afford - bring some champagne, crackers fruit etc.

Part 2: a nice dinner . . . for my cousin's we stayed in Queens for dinner so people could still meet up with us after

Part 3: a bar/lounge/club - stay out of Manhattan to keep it cheaper.

*lol this is what i want to do but i am not planning it so this is ideally what will be happening HA!

It was sooooooooooooooooooo good!!!!! When you walk in - immediately - you're introduced to the school president & his girlfriend...total perfection!!! You're given rubber bracelets, sunglasses, whatever you choose to wear. The characters from all 80's movies are there - the nerd, the geek, etc. It was an absolute blast and i am NOT a dancer...

good idea, my friend is going labor day on the cruise to nowhere, she goes sat in the daytime and they come back sunday afternoon. Its $150 per person and thats only bc when she booked they only had the big rooms with a balcony left...if you get an interior room it is less

we just did this two weekends ago for my co-worker's bach party and it was a blast! However, when I came home and told my sister about it, she didn't seem excited about it. lol

this is an option too. . . we could even cut out the first part if need be and just do dinner and then maybe strike?

Try Cruise Compete

You might be able to find something on there. The prices are usually competitive.

I'm going to the Prom this Saturday for my friends bachelorette! I've only heard good things about it, but I'll let you know what I think next week! The tickets were $60 and we are going to dinner beforehand and then whatever bars we feel like afterwards. We are staying overnight in the city, but you obviously don't have to.

obviously i should read all posts before responding. Sorry! I'll try to think of something else!
