Need HELP with bridesmaid dresses....

I am having 6 BM's and 2 MOH's. The problem is that some of the girls are alot bigger than others. I am having the MOH's wear the same dress and I wanted the BM to all wear the same dress (but different than the MOH). I found gorgeous dresses from Amsale but not sure if the girls who are bigger will feel comfortable. And I don't want everyone wearing different dresses. Do you know of any designers that make dresses that look good on people of all different sizes? Do I change around the dresses that I DO want them to wear just because of 2 girls? I am trying to be sensitive to everyone but it's more of a hassle than anything right now! Help!

I am having a similar problem. I have 12 girls in my bridal party. Why don't you try seperates. Pic the top and bottom that most of the girls like. They usually tend to fit better than other types of dresses.

Empire waists and A-line dresses tend to be the most forgiving on a variety of shapes and sizes.

Good luck!

how about 2 peice dresses? That's what I did.. all my girls have dif body types..

also, I would stay away from the empire waist for some dresses.. although they say that it looks the best, sometimes it really doesn't..

Thank god the first dress I picked out for my girls ended up being discontinued cause god knows what it would have looked like..

IMO, I think its a brides responsibility to make sure her bridesmaids feel beautiful in what she 'makes' them wear. I think many brides are incredibly unfair in making their friends spend a fortune for a gown that is going to make a girl feel uncomfortable.

If you cant decide on one dress, how about selecting 2 or 3 different styles so each girl can find something they like.

PS: Empire waists are not very forgiving on me or anyone with a large bust. I find strapless dresses look most flattering on a variety of shapes but some people.

I am trying to do the 2-piece thing. I agree it looks better. I feel that when someone is bigger the more you try to cover up the worse it looks. But I can't convince people of that and don't want to make anyone feel uncomfortable. Any specific designers??
