Need help with color scheme (especially those having reception at Fox Hollow)
I am having trouble figuring out or actually envisioning what my color scheme will be. I have always wanted my bridesmaids to wear a light purple dress so I was going to go with that as my color.
But then we chose fox hollow as our hall and we are having the reception in the briar fox room which has a lot of darker richer colors. the centerpieces are going to be neutral with a lot of ivory, cream and white flowers and greenery.
Will my purple color theme work in that room? I want to make my own menus, table numbers, seating cards, favor tags, etc. and i want everything to be coordinated so I am not sure what color scheme to go with. Do i match the bridesmaids, or go with something to match the room? Should i choose a different color for the bridesmaids? I just can't picture it all in my head and it is driving me crazy!
You girls all seem so good at this coordinating stuff so any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

I think you should go with the color scheme for the girls. Not many people are going to remember what the room colors were, but they will remember what the girls wore. If you coordinate with the room, it'll probably all blend together instead of standing out. Just my opinion. ~~Kim

I think the purple will look fine.. you dont have to coordinate with the room.. as long as you like it

My girls are wearing a light blue dress, and they will be carrying blue and yellow flowers.

not getting married at fh, but my sister just got married at wm in a room with lots of dark mohagany. we wore bill levkoff euro pink dresses and the cp's were ink gerber daises.

You don't have to match their colors. I'm in the Garden Terrace room but we'll have the same Maroon chairs. My girls are in Purple and I'm not going to spend the money on chair covers...I went to a florist today who suggested yellow and orange and reds for my CP even knowing this! I am not doing this, of course, but I thought it was a funny suggestion. This was a vendor who's a FH recc florist too! Do what you want, it'll be fine!

My BM dresses were purple and I had my reception in the Briar Fox. The flowers were all very light summery colors (purple, pink, yellow etc). It looked very nice.
