Need help with colors for Living room...

I'm going to need some ideas on what colors to use to paint with.

Please don't mind the mess!

This is the living room. It's a yellowish color on the 2 main walls and on the molding of the fireplace and the wall that the fireplace is on is a burgundy/maroon color and the opposite wall is burgundy/maroon as well. I guess it's called accent walls? (I'm so out of the loop) Now I think it looks ok, but it does not match our furniture at all. I was thinking of painting the 2 accent walls a dark gray and the other walls a lighter gray and the trim white? As you can see our couches are a greenish color and our coffee table, entertainment center and end tables are black, and recliner is black. I thought it might look nice, but I'm not sure. We then have wood blinds on the 2 BIG windows in the living room, but they're a dark brown color. I guess we would need to get white? I don't know. If there's anyone that can help with the colors I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!

Also... you notice all the dark wood trim? YUCK!!! Our kitchen cabinets are the same color. I can't wait to paint everything!

I'm a big fan of white trim with beige or light blue walls. Light blue might go with your sofa.

to be completely honest your living rooms colors look really good.

if i were you, id buy an accent rug with some reds in it and put it under that coffee table.
then, get some red throw pillows and a gold colored chenille throw blanket. (homegoods?)

maybe a floral arrangement or red an gold candles for the mantle

i think if you paint it grey and white, you will make the room seem cold and uninviting

good luck!
