Need help with diamond ring asap wedding in 9 days

So we ordered an 18k diamond ring from zales and we need the wedding band now. They have 2 bands one is 14k and one is 18k both of them are the same carat weight in terms of diamonds but there's a substantial difference in price. Could I get away with the 14k band with an 18k Ering?

ABsolutly fine! Who is going to know the difference unless they are a jeweler? Dont mention it to anyone. Save your money. I'm sure either one will look wonderful. his is not something you want to be stressing about so close to your wedding.

After the wedding- after you've saved up- if you still are pressed about it and want the other- wait for a 5 or ten yr anniversary and upgrade :) JMO

i agree, i think you could get away with the 14k..it will look the same

White gold or yellow gold? If it's yellow gold, you can see the difference but only up close and if you're looking for it. White gold, you definitely won't be able to see the difference. I think you'll be fine.

As long as they are both white gold- or the same color yellow gold I dont think anyone will know they are different.

I dont even know what my ring is set in and neither does FH- is there any way they can tell?

Danielle- Usually it's stamped on the inside of the ring... or you can bring it to a jeweler and they'll tell you.

save the $ and get the 14k. people will not notice unless they carry a loop and look at the inside of the ring.

My e ring is platinum-- but it was soooo hard to get it sized and cleaned that I decided not to get platinum for my wedding ring.

My wedding ring is white gold, Ering is platinum- I don't wear them on the same hand but even if I did you really can't tell the difference!

I would just get in no one would know the difference if they are not a jeweler.

Mine ering is platinum too..are you suppose to clean it with something special? because i have been using jewelery cleaner?

I'm pretty sure that the liquid for jewelry cleaners is good for platinum and gold-- but I mean have it professionally cleaned- they have to polish it more.

The problem was having it sized- it was really expensive and took a long time-and my fingers change a lot from season to season so I figured it wasn't worth it with my wedding band- and most people can't tell the difference.

You actually should buy the 14k gold band, not 18k gold. 14k gold is a harder substance and will last longer.

You can get away with it if they aren't worn on the same hand. I have a similar situation. My jewler screwed up. You can notice it if you really look. I'm sure that no one else can tell, but I can. It's up to you. Try them together and see what you think.

Check the inside of the band. It should be engraved in it.
