Need help with directions! This is so frustrating...

How is this:

People coming from CT, NJ:

1. Give them directions on how to get onto the Island (Throgs Neck or George Washington).

2. Tell them to take the Long Island Expressway EAST to Exit #55 (I think this is the correct exit number)/Rte 111.

3. Take Rte 111 SOUTH to Montauk Highway/Rte 27A (get approx. mileage)

4. Tell them what the building looks like you're directing them to, what side of the road it's on and where they can park

People coming from Eastern LI:

1. Take LIE WEST to exit #55/Rte 111.

2. Same steps as #3 and 4 above.

If you know land marks, provide them in the directions as well. I did that for my church directions.

This is a stupid question but....From the Throggs Neck bridge, how do you get to the LI Expressway East?? I'm not from LI so im not familiar with the roads.

From the Throgs Neck, they should take the Cross Island Pkwy South (the exitis on the right). Take the Cross Island South to the LIE East. I'm not sure what the exit number is.

It's okay, I'm not from LI orginally either, but I drove often enough here, that I know my way around.

When they get off of the Throgs Neck bridge, tell them to stay to the RIGHT hand side of the bridge as it is an exit only lane that will merge directly into the Cross Island Parkway. They will stay on this Cross Island Parkway for less than 5 miles (if I remember right) and there will be a right hand exit for them to merge directly onto the LIE EAST.

If you don't want them on the LIE so quickly, they can take Cross Island Parkway until it merges with Northern State on the border of Queens and Nassau and take Northern State to Rte 111.
