FH and I met with so many DJs and we've narrowed our choices down to 3 due to money issues and personality of the MCs....
1. Vinny from High Voltage 2. Donny from In the Mixx 3. Chris from Parties Alive
Another question -- do you girls think light show is needed?? We have to cut down our cost even further so we decided to either take out the Digital Screen for our montage that we'll be doing ourselves OR eliminate the light show? Honest opinion is appreciated!!! Thanks!!! I've also seen Long Island Sounds and Tommy Tunes so if anyone needs any info or quotes feel free to FM me!!!!!

out of the 2 choices, i would lose the light show. those montages are cute....a friend had one at her college grad. party...and it's a wedding....i think a light show will take away from the romance of a wedding and make it more 'party' than wedding...IMO.
i didn't meet with any of those DJs so i can't help there.

We went with High Voltage and didnt even have to think twice!!!
As far as the light show....I wouldnt do it. IMO it will take away from the wedding and it will make the guest feel like they are at a club. Again, just my opinion.

A lot of girls here use High Voltage. Not to add someone else to the mix but we're using Ralph from High Energy entertainment and we have both a light show and screen for the montage (which a friend is doing for us) and the price was awesome!

I only met with Vinny at High Voltage and booked him on the spot.
Light show is the thing I would eliminate. Gives off too much of a night club feeling, IMO.

I am using In the Mix and so are 2 of my BM for their weddings. We all thought they were great, very professional and affordable. High Voltage gets great reviews here. Either DJ you choose, Im sure will be great.

I agree. We booked Vinny on the spot as well and didnt opt for the light show. A basic package is all we neeed to keep the party going!

And I agree with the night club feeling from the light show, unless that's what you're going for.

I think we are getting a great package too from all the DJs that I've mentioned. They are around $2000 but we really want to stay in the $1500s and that's why we need to cut out some stuff. If you are getting your package around $1500 please FM me and I would definitely love to book your DJ!!! Heheeh...
