Need help with donation 'favors'

My mom passed away from Leukemia, I called and they do not give out scrolls, does anyone have suggestions or directions for what I can make??????
they would say in lieu of traditional favors a donation has been made.....etc

American Diabetes Association has great wording for a scroll - I made 2 donations, one to them and one to amfAR so I modified it to reflect our donations...gimme a sec and I'll find it for you.

Here you go! Just change the name of your charity

With much thought and consideration,
we have chosen a special way
to say Thank You for sharing
our wedding day with us.

In lieu of a traditional wedding favor,
we have made donations in your honor
to the American Diabetes Association,
and to the American Foundation for AIDS Research
to help fight these diseases and one day find a cure.

We feel the finest gift is one which helps
others live longer and healthier lives.

We truly appreciate your being
part of our special day.

All Our Love,
R & E

I didn't make them yet but I am going to. I stole that pic from someone on the knot. We are doing Juvenile Diabetes because FH's 5 year old neice has it. We are making the donation in her name.

Julz, I love that idea! I was thinking of giving some candy with the donation also (FH father passed away from heart problems so we are going to donate to the American Heart Association). I was just worried that the candy might melt in late August...what do you think?

I was thinking of wrapping up Hersey's Hugs and Kisses with a ribbon that says 'Hugs and Kisses from the Mr. and Mrs.'
