So I know it's a bit early for me to be looking at florists but I'm just the type that likes to get things done early. I met with Michelle from Hidden Essence yesterday & I loved her! We went over exactly what I wanted for the wedding, types of flowers, even the handles for the bouquets. I loved that she was so thorough, got my vision 100% & she quoted us a great price (she actually dropped the price by about $300 because we told her we were willing to pay all cash). This morning I met with Flowers by Burton. It was also a great appointment but it was very different. He really didn't get into detail about how I wanted my flowers to look, what flowers they would be using, etc. He just wanted to know what I needed (how many bouquets & centerpieces we wanted, etc). He said 3 months before the wedding we would go in & actually design the flowers. He said we pretty much had any choice in vases/candelabras, types of flowers & fullness of flowers. i definitely love this about them because if I change my mind it won't affect the price. This isn't the case with Hidden Essence though. it's just so hard to trust that Burton's is going to understand my vision without us discussing in detail before booking. I know that Michelle definitely gets it & will deliver. The worst/best part is they both quoted me the exact same price of $2489.

I'm also getting married May 2016 and I booked with Flowers by Burton because they gave me the best price and I love that I can choose any type of flower and it won't affect the price! I see their flowers on Instagram all the time and I know they'll be able to deliver with what I want (especially since I saw centerpieces they were making and it was exactly what I wanted just a different color). The guy also told me that I can pretty much bring in any photo of what I want and they'll recreate it. I didn't look at any other florists I just booked with them on the spot because I've heard nothing but great things.

I met with a few florists, Burton's being one of them. I also was intrigued by the any flower element and that he just needed a quantity from us, but to be perfectly honest I did have an exact vision that I wanted. I know the type of feel I wanted but knowing very little about flowers needed a florist that could bring it to life for me. I just felt I would have too much anxiety booking with Burton's because I wasn't very decisive about what I wanted and he wasn't able to show me anything that caught my eye when I met with them. I ended up booking with Elegant Designs by Joy who was a little bit pricier but was also able to pull flowers out of her fridge and bring a bouquet to life right in front of me. She completely got what I wanted and was able to show it to me right then and there. I have complete trust in her. I think if you know exactly what you want, Burton's would work for you, but if your like me and need a little bit of flower guidance, I think a more traditional florist is the way to go!

I worked with Michelle from Hidden Essence and she was wonderful. She gave us exactly what we wanted and she was so professional. I loved all of my flowers and bouquets. I would definitely recommend her. She was great.

Totally understand your feelings because that's what we battled with. In the end, we loved the personal touch we felt we would get with Michelle and her flexibility and her vision so we booked her. And her cost was better. But honestly I think you can't go wrong. You'll be happy either way as I've heard only good things about both!

I'm using Michelle from Hidden Essence. She was the first florist I met with and she was really able to work with us on a shoestring budget and still give us exactly what we want. She's super flexible with adding and changing things and even with a last minute dilemma she always finds a way to make things work!

I say go with your gut, and I think your gut is telling you Michelle from hidden essence. Lots of people rave about her. However, you can't go wrong with Burton's either. So either way, you will be in good hands!
We booked with Burton's. I don't remember the name of the guy we actually booked with off the top of my head, but when we were discussing centerpieces, he actually had a few displayed and also took out a photo album of all different types of centerpieces. As I described what we wanted, he turned to pages in the album and showed us things I was describing. I found one centerpiece that I loved, FH loved it too, and we knew that was it. They also let us look in the back room because they were making similar centerpieces on the spot. So, if you ask, they will show you samples to help you envision what they can do.

All of this!!! I told him what I needed and he gave me a price. THEN we talked about type of flowers. And I love that if I change my mind, it won't affect the price. I didn't have to sacrifice on size of bouquets or anything because the type of flowers I wanted were too expensive. I booked on the spot also.

I'm working with Michele from hidden essence now as my wedding is in a few days..she is very patient and sweet..I think it's important to click with the florist you will be working with as it makes things go smoothly and you won't be aggravated throughout the process
