Hi Girls....no one can help me with their honest answers other than all of you..... With that said...FH and I are having this dilenma! We are very undecided on where to go for our honey moon. Here are our choices:
1. Phuket - Thailand I think we are going to pass on this one because recently Thailand is coming some political problems where the military is taking over the country. ALSO..they extended the Martial Law!!
2. Hawaii Everyone goes to Hawaii for their Honeymoon!! I know from seeing the pictures, the islands are beautiful and amazing.
3. Mediteranean Cruise The Greek Islands, the Mediteranean, Italy, - come on now..nothing is more romantic than there
4. Alaska Cruise This is not the typical place for honeymoon but it's still beatiful with so many things to do!!!
5. Tahiti ????? This may be out of our price budget...I've heard it's over $10,000??!!!
Where should we go??

We're doing a Mediterranean Cruise out of Venice for 8 days and then going to Italy for 5 :) The ship starts in Venice, Italy and goes to Bari, then to Greece where we stop in Mykonos, Santorini, Olympia and Rhodes, and then goes to Dubrovnik Croatia and then back to Venice.

I would prob pick the Med. Cruise (I would love Tahitti, but I'm taking money into consideration). FH would LOVe to go to Alaska though. He has been there before and he's been to Hawaii and he thinks Alaska is the most beautiful place.

I would, if $ was no object, do Tahiti probably. But DH is a science geek and has always wanted to go to Alaska...everyone who's been that we know says it is hands-down the BEST trip they have ever been on. So I voted for Alaska, although that's really 'his' dream and I would love to join him!

The Med Cruise sounds nice
We are doing Hawaii-- we have never been there, the weather is pretty consistent and nice all year round-- there is so much to do and it's beautiful so we are going there!

I think a mediterranean cruise would be gorgeous.
Tahiti is beautiful I've heard (my sister is researching going there for her 10 year anniv), but it is very expensive.
But your honeymoon is a once in a lifetime thing.

From what we are hearing the political situation is not causing any problems in regards to tourism and it's been business as usual. The King is backing the military goverment which is one of the reasons it has been such a peacful coup. The prime minister was extreamly disliked by his own people...
I too am biased b/c I am going to Tahiti for my HM in 2 months......so I chose that for you!
NO OFFENSE to anyone who has gone on one or is going on one but I'm just down on cruises big time for a honeymoon. It's a great and fun way to vacation - I do love a cruise - just not for a HM. I just don't like the idea of being stuck on a ship with so many other people for such a romantic vacation.
Friend of mine just went on a Med. cruise for her HM though and loved it. But she and her DH are totally obsessed with cruises - it's pretty much the only way they vacation.
Hawaii is awesome but I think it's a place you can get to again in your life...I think of a HM as such a special once in a lifetime trip - not sure I'll ever get back to Tahiti so that is why we chose it!
It can be VERY expensive.....if you choose the higher end hotels it is easily over $10k! But you can do it for anywhere from $5k and up as well! I recommend you check out the Pearl resorts on Moorea and Bora Bora. They are less expensive and really nice. And in Moorea opt for a garden bungalow and save your $ for an OWB in Bora Bora...they are much nicer there...water is nicer there too. You can also split your time if money is really tight and do most nights in garden bungalows to save money - and then just do your last 2 nights in an overwater so you get to experience that! Talk to a TA and tell them your budget...you can def. do Tahiti under $10k based on your hotel choices and islands.

I would choose Tahiti b/c that is where your heart seems to be set. FH and I are doing the Med. cruise, but that is what we REALLY wanted to do. Look into if you can swing Tahiti, even if it is only 5 or 6 days. It may be doable based on your budget. Check with a TA.

I would do the Med Cruise but that might just be because FH and I are doing Europe too.
We're doing a tour of Ireland though. Real romantic huh?
Might not be the typical HM spot but it's a place we both always wanted to go to and don't know if we'll ever get to go again!

Hawaii is where i always wanted to go...so thats always a great ida! But true ALOT of ppl do that for a HM...

Hawaii is romantic with SO much stuff to do!!!! DEFINETLY HAWAII!!!! My FH & I were HIGHLY considering Tahiti (because obviously it's paradise), but we got double the Time and SO much more to do, and SO much more accomadations(including a private butler & all!) going with a Sandals resort. My FSIL went to Hawaii and LOOOOVED it.... she said it was a dream.

I have been to Greece and Italy both----- BEAUTIFUL and ROMANTIC!
You can't beat Italy on romance & Greece has great beaches and nightlife
I would try to get some time off the cruise -- stay a few extra days on land if possible.
