Need help with invitation wording

Need help with invitation wording

Does anyone have any nice wording for invitations other than the traditional way? Maybe a nice saying instead?

We don't want to write parent's names because:
1. we're paying for the entire wedding
2. my dad passed away and my mom has been remarried for 3 years but I don't want to write that my stepdad is my 'parent'
3. FH parents are divorced

We feel like it is just too confusing and we are better off with just our names but wanted to add in a nice saying.

Thanks!

What if you used something like 'together with our families'?

Oh geez I am so behind. I am hitting the 6 month mark on Friday and haven't even begun looking at invitations. I think I did look online once and that was it. I do have an idea of what I want though so I guess that is better than nothing. When will she have them done for you once you give her the wording?
