Help! My wedding date is June 27th. I was told to put a RSVP date of April 26th and to mail them out early March. Is the RSVP date too early? I was thinking of putting May 27th for the RSVP date and mail them out by April 27th.

Re: Need help with invitations!
it's usually 6-8 weeks before your wedding to mail them out..and RSVP is usually1 month prior..so may 27th is good

Re: Need help with invitations!
I think that is early for an rsvp date. My invites went out yesterday and our RSVP date is the end of march - so about 1 month before the day

Re: Need help with invitations!
I am the day before you and I plan on haveing an rsvp date of May 20th, I think. A tiny bit over a month. I am going to send my invites out mid April- so they are received the latest the last week of April.
Why and who told you told put such and early date?

I agree with the others - we just ordered our invitations and the return date is May 25. One month before is fine.

Re: Need help with invitations!
Thanks for all the feedback! The person I'm planning on ordering the invitations from told me to put an April date to give me enough time to do the seating plan.
Does this invitation wording look ok?
Mr. and Mrs. Alfonso C***** request the honour of your presence at the marriage of their daughter Maria Teresa to Stephen Albert R*** son of Mr. and Mrs. David R*** on Sunday, the twenty seventh of June two thousand and four at three o’clock in the afternoon St. Helen’s Church Howard Beach, NY
I don't know how to word the reception card. How is everyone else doing theirs? Thanks again!
