Need help with salons in LI for a wedding THIS friday

Ok this friday I am attending a wedding, my plan was to go to the ceremony bc for one i would like to be there for it and FH is in the bridal party, but thing is that theres about a 4 hour gap and obviously after the ceremony Fh has to go take pictures and im not following them around lol. So i figured i should use the gap to go get my hair and make up done so i can kill some time, which is a good idea right?

Ok well i need suggestions for good hair salons that can curl hair well and also does make up. Ceremony is in massapequa and reception is in island park, but it doesnt have to be very close to either place since i have a 4 hour gap and i have time lol but dont want to drive far out either.

This is the best option right? i mean what else would i do I am open to suggestions.

I heard lumara is good, has anyone been there?

I know people that have gone to Lumara and they say they are really good. Also, Magestic salon and spa in Seaford is really good. A girl Christine P does really good hair and I know they also do makeup. I get my hair cut and colored at Allure in Amityville----also awesome. FM if you need any more details....

Posh Salon in Babylon Village looks really nice and definitely somewhere were you could spend a few hours getting pampered. Not only that, you kill a few hours in Babylon Village alone with all of the little shops. I've never been there, but I've walked by it a million times and it looks really nice.

I agree!!! I used to go there ONLY, but my girl moved to NC. The salon is gorgeous and they have really talented hairstylists and make-up artists

I was having the same problem. I had a wedding to go to in Garden City and my normal hairdresses was off. Some one here recommended Amani in Lynbrook on Sunrise Highway. She really did my har nice, excatly what I wanted, just some curls at the end. And she wasnt to pricey either. I'll see if I can find a pic of my hair for you.

yeah i was just planning on getting my hair done in queens before the ceremony and then i realized oh wait theres a gap lol i should just use my time for that. Do they do make up there?

No. I dont believe they do make up there. It's only a salon and spa.

what excatly are you going to do with your hair? I've added a album to show you a before and after. I didnt do anything crazy but I like the fact that she took her time and my hair stayed well all night which isnt normal for me beccausse my hair is dead straight.

Hair Machine in Rockville Center. For a blow out go to Jodi. For an updo to to Marci. They are amazing. Marci did my hair for my eparty. They also do makeup there. They are located just north of where you're going to be right off of Merrick Road.

Its about 40 minutes from each other. Not sure if that is too far for you. If the ceremony is in Massapequa it is about 20 minutes from there.
