Need help with salons in LI for a wedding THIS friday

Ok this friday I am attending a wedding, my plan was to go to the ceremony bc for one i would like to be there for it and FH is in the bridal party, but thing is that theres about a 4 hour gap and obviously after the ceremony Fh has to go take pictures and im not following them around lol. So i figured i should use the gap to go get my hair and make up done so i can kill some time, which is a good idea right?
Ok well i need suggestions for good hair salons that can curl hair well and also does make up. Ceremony is in massapequa and reception is in island park, but it doesnt have to be very close to either place since i have a 4 hour gap and i have time lol but dont want to drive far out either.
This is the best option right? i mean what else would i do I am open to suggestions.
I heard lumara is good, has anyone been there?

how far is syosset from island park? i have heard alot about cactus
Its about 40 minutes from each other. Not sure if that is too far for you. If the ceremony is in Massapequa it is about 20 minutes from there.
yeah i dont want it to be too far from reception bc im going from queens to the ceremony and then after getting hair and make up done but from the salon i have to drive straight to bridgeview yacht club in island park and since its friday and it will be around 6pm i dont want to get stuck in too much traffic
Yeah there would def. be traffic at that time and it isn't fun. There are a lot of salons on the way that I am sure will have appointments available. Good luck.

Lumara of NY Salon & Day Spa (516) 797-2251 - 896 N Broadway, Massapequa
they are usaully busy so def call and se if they have an opening and what the prices are...i am not sure how expensive they are i just got prices for my friends wedding. The girls there are all so nice!! My friend is friends with the owner they are really sweet

It is either inside or in the parking lot of the source mall on old country rd. Helens also does great curls I am told.

Just to share im pretty sure the smae people who own Starlight Express own Hair Machine. Im pretty sure the lady at starlight told me that her daughter owns it or she owns it.

lol if i do go it better be true hahahaha...seriously when it comes to doing my hair in such ways i get so nervous now about who i go to bc ive had alot of bad experiences, although that time i complained on LIW when a place in astoria curled my hair i ended up liking it lol, but still all the other times ive had some disasters

Harveys Place in Cedarhurst. I grew up there and used them forever until I moved out east. Rudolfo Valentin in Cedarhurst is also excellent
