Need Help with Shower venues for my sister!

Hey Girls!

I am currently planning my sister's Bridal Shower. She is getting married a little less than 3 months after me, so now is the time to get this started. We are looking to have it in September.

We also have about 50-60 people attending (based on an 80+ invitee list). The Bridal party (some of the girls) bitched about having to pay a dime for it, so I am footing the bill as well as my parents. ANY IDEAS??

I looked into some venues, but they are anywhere from $26-$36 per person. What should I do? I also have some options that are people's homes(my moms or my sister-n-laws) or in my community at the Hall we had our Engagement Party in.

I can rent that room for about $250 but then have to have it catered and decorated (which is cool, I like that) BUT is this not a good idea b/c it's my community and also where we had our Engagement party?

I will take any ideas or feedback...I'm looking to do a SITC Theme. I have a ton of ideas as far as decor goes

There is a place called Charlie Meaneys in Valley Stream. It's a pub, so I'm not sure if that is what you are looking for. I don't know that the inside would fit everyone, but they do have an outdoor area. My family frequents there, so I do know them, but I think their prices would be rather reasonable anyway.

elisa's in north bellmore..great food..were having our e-party there on the 24th..with tax were paying 24pp..no drinks though

You could also try Lambrous in Island Park... they might be a bit pricier, but I'm not really sure because we've always gotten a different type of package than what you're looking for.

What about International Buffet in Garden City? Its very reasonable.

What about Filomena's in Franklin Square on Hempstead Tpke? They may be accomodating as well as Pompei in West Hempstead.

If anything, look into booking a Knights of Columbus and have it catered in.

I second Filomena's. Awesome food!!!

All so try Crabtree on Jericho trpk. I heard the prices are good as well.

The Orchid in Garden City is also good. We had our eparty there. I think they have very reasonable packages.

I third that Filomena's is great but I didn't think it's even close to that price range?? Maybe I am wrong- but I am pretty sure I went to a party there that was closer to 60pp.
