I am thinking about throwing my husband a surprise 30th. It can't be too extravagent or costly. I was just wondering if anyone had been to or heard of a good inexpensive place......

Maybe a KofC hall or Wantagh Inn or Donovan's in Bayside, Monohan Fitzgeralds, New Hyde Park Inn....

Try some of the local fire houses... they sometimes have a room you can rent... i know ours (plainview) is great

Depending on where you want to have it, I can recommend Seascape in Islip (we had our 'rehearsal' dinner there) or Snapper Inn in Oakdale.

The Carriage House at the Milleridge Inn is a great place. It was not expensive for my daughter's shower and you have the entire building to yourself. The food and service were very good. I think you need about 50 people minimum.
