NEED HELP with this decision!!

NEED HELP with this decision!!

I just found out that my cousin (the mother of my flower girl) is 4 months prego and is expecting to have the baby in April!!! WAHOO!!! .

My dilema is that FMIL and FFIL have stated on a number of occassions that they think kids should be invited to the wedding. FH disagree and have told them NO WAY! NO KIDS!!

Now, how do I explain to my cousin that she can't bring the new baby? OR should I allow the new baby to come (because he/she will only be 6 months old) and deal with his family being PI$$ED that I allowed her child and not the rest????

kRISTA, SINCE THE BABY WONT BE A NEWBORN, I WOULD SAY KEEP IT AT HOME WITH THE OTHER KIDS. A 6MONTH OLD CAN CRAWL..... AND YOU DONT WANT TO MAKE OTHERS MAD. IF IT WAS A NEWBORN, THAN YES BY ALL MEANS IT SHOULD COME, BUT NOT 6MONTHS OLD I HOPE I HELPED.

Congratulations to your family!

Talk to your cousin when the time is right. Maybe she shares your view about very little kids at the wedding. She may not intend to bring the baby to the wedding at all especially if you tell her that no other children will be coming.

You may consider hiring a baby sitter for that day but that is entirely up to you.

I went through the SAME thing recently a couple of weeks ago with my FILs about kids at the wedding. Despite their begging, I refused to back down. It can be difficult, especially when they drag out the issue. But don't let other people tell you what to do when it comes to YOUR day.

Good luck.

Talk to your cousin and explain that you and your FI have decided not to have children at the wedding. I spoke to my friend about it and she understood and actually said she was going to keep the baby at home anyway because the wedding would run past her bed time and she wanted her and her hubby to have a night out w/out the baby.

I have 2 BMs that will have 6 month old babies the day of my wedding, and both of them are electing to have a babysitter. The way I see it, it's a night off for them, and I know they will appreciate the break!!! The only kids that might be at my wedding right now are the ones in the BP.

I wish I could offer you some advice. I have no choice but to allow kids b/c my FH is very close to his nephews. He also said various guests on his end wouldn't attend if they couldn't bring kids. (I can't post my response to this comment). I am however putting an age limit on it. No kids under the age of 12, with the lone exception of my flower girl, who will be 8 going on 9 at the time of the wedding.

despite my opinion on children at a wedding, IF you decided there will be no children, then, thats it, no children means no children and you should talk to your cousin at an appropriate time ...she may feel like its a good thing, since with a new baby there wont be too many nights out alone...it would be a nice night out for them! good luck with your decision and congrats on the new addition to your family!

If the FG is going to the reception its kinda weird to say the baby can't go. JMO.

Since the FG is in the BP people will understand why they are the only kids there.

A 6 mo old baby really doesn't do much, sometimes it can roll. I would let it come. It's not like you have to pay for the baby. If she wants to bring it,I would let her.
