Need Help with Times!

Hi Ladies,

I have a question about how to space out the ceremony and reception. The cocktail hour starts at 1:30pm and from the church to the RH it takes about 30mins (40 max). FH and I want to attend just about all of our cocktail hour so we want to do pics beforehand (see each other before ceremony, etc). What time would you make the ceremony? Right now I'm thinking 11am, finished and start pics at church at 11:30, leave by 12, get to RH by 12:30/12:45ish, then have about an hour (maybe a little more) to take pics at RH. Does that sound feasible to you? Any suggestions would be helpful! TIA!

I can't help sorry, but I have opposite problem. I could only get my ceremony at 200 b/c of confession on saturdays, and my RH time is 730. I have too much time I think.. Anyone else have that problem??

I think that is pretty good time setup. I don't think you will miss your cocktail hr. You will have plenty of time.

I was in the same boat as you. it all worked fine oot guests went back to the hotel for cocktails and to freshen up. People that lived in the area invited other people into their homes for some coffee. THe break helps with pictures so you are not rushed, but the cocktail hour if you attend flies by.

Remember when setting up your schedule leave room for error. If you are even 5 mintues late for the church that is going to push it all back. You might be better having the ceremony at 10:30 if you have your heart set on attending the cocktail hour.

your timetable seems good. Videogrpaher and photogrpaher are 2 great people to talk to to get a better idea.

Same here! My ceremony was at 1 pm and CH started at 6 pm. Trust me, I stressed about it all the time. But on the day of, everything worked out great. My parents and ILs hosted small GTGs at their homes. People will find things to do, whether they have to kill 2 hours or 4 hours. It will give you plenty of time for pics and you won't feel rushed. I made it to my entire CH which was great b/c I started the meet and greet process early. I got to enjoy the reception!
