I need your ladies help! I am writing to my best friend to release her out of my wedding. FH told me it's up to me, I just don't have it in me anymore. This is what I came up with..
I have thought about this long and hard before I made my descion. Your plate is full and you are dealing with too much at one time. I think it would be best if I release you from your obligation to my wedding, no hard feelings. Allot has happened to you over the last few months and I think this is the right thing for both of us. Hope things get better for you! All the Best! -Jenn
What do you think? Should I take anything out? Add anything? My Bridal place says I am not responsible for the dress...I have a feeling she is gonna give me a hard time about the $100 she laid out as a deposit for the dress..It's non refundable..If she is gonna B$%^ about it I think I am just gonna give it back to her..the problem will go away..and everyone can breathe! I will have 2 Bridesmaids and then my MOH!
Comments anyone?

I think the email is nice. do you plan on keeping her as a friend after the wedding? hasnt she given you a difficult time throughout this process, if so i dont think i would refund her deposit on the dress, she was probably looking for a way out of the wedding anyway.

I didn't want to loose her, but we are lost already! We haven't seen each other in almost 5 months! I think she knows it and I know it that our friendship is dead. She didn't even call me for my birthday or let alone make plans. She is dealing with allot and I think this is too much for her! I just hope her response is not nasty to me!

You have a lot spelled wrong...you have it as Allot and it should be A lot.
Also, if she is your best friend, why can't you talk to her over the phone? I always feel email is so impersonal.
Since the dress place is keeping the deposit, see if they will transfer the money to another dress instead.

Thanks for proof reading for me! I would call her and tell her, but the last time I wanted to have a serious talk and offered to meet, or talk on the phone she e-mailed me and wanted to talk there or on AIM!!!! The last time there was a problem with the shower she called me because we were friends for so long. I brought it up to her that if this happen would she had called me(since we haven't talked in a while before that) and she said no. I didn't like that answer at all!!

I think it sounds good. You may want to add at the end (and this is up to you) 'When you are ready to talk, I'm hear for you'. This way you did all you can and left now up to her. I really hope if anything this will be a wake up call for her and she will finally talk to you. It's so sad to see close friends go through this. Good luck!!!

Do you still want her to be part of your life OR attend your wedding? I would add that in then like 'I really hope that you can still attend our wedding and share our day with us as a guest' or something like that. Otherwise, it is perfect.

Final e-mail...
I have thought about this long and hard before I made my decision. Your plate is full and you are dealing with too much at one time. I think it would be best if I release you from your obligation to my wedding, no hard feelings. A lot has happened to you over the last few months and I think this is the right thing for both of us.I really hope that you can still attend our wedding and share our day with us as a guest! When you are ready to talk, I want you to know that I'm hear for you. All the best!
What do you all think??

It sounds good. But take this from me who did this kind of email to a friend that I had in my bridal party and felt didnt want to be in it.... you will hear her side of the story after this and may not like what you hear. My friendship with this person has all but been ended.. it makes me very sad now.
Good Luck

Re: Need Help writing this e-mail
I don't like it where you tell her you are 'releasing' her from the bridal party. It sounds like you are releasing her from a contract... it's sounds so official.
I would maybe say that you would like for her to back down from being a member of the bridal party as to concentrate on other things that are more important in her life.
Releasing her just sounds so stiff... does that makes sense?

Just sent it. I know I am gonna hear her side of the story. I didn't go into any details, just plain and simple. I know the friendship is over..sadly, it's been over for a while now. I don't think she has admitted it!!
