Need help..Wedding location

hey guys

Recently got engaged and started reception shopping and i have to say very upset. We plan on getting married next year may-august. Looking for place that has only 1 wedding at a time and minimum of 150 people.

We looked at so many places and everything has at least 185-200 minimum. Open to LI, westchester, maybe rest depending on place. I just feel like it's so overwhelming and difficult to find only the basics i desire. Even open to spending up to 175.00pp. Any help would be greatly appreciate.

Went to Carltun today and it was spectacular just to $$$$$$ anything similar for better price?

Thnks

check out 'fifteenth and west' at the nassau county bar association - the minimum is 100, but it can hold up to 200, one wedding at a time, definitley not a wedding factory, great food, and affordable. I got married there and highly recommend it.

You should check out North Ritz Club, its beautiful and only one wedding per day.

We're getting married at the Riviera in Massapequa. It's very pretty, right on the bay, and is only 1 wedding at time. It's a small-ish place, and I think the minimum for a Saturday night is 150 people. We're having a Sunday night and our minimum is 115.

But, since I haven't had the reception yet, I can't tell you anything else about it (food, etc). They have been EXTREMELY nice and helpful, though. Very easy to work with.

Check out stewart manor country club in new hyde park...had my november wedding there and it was just wonderful!!!!!!!! Very affordable, awesome food, wonderful people, beautiful ambiance, just terrific! Only one wedding at a time and we had about 145 people show up. The room can hold up to about 200 but you only have to guarantee 100 i think. Look at the website and if you go, ask for James..he is the best!

I heard of the bourne mansion. It looks nice!! but i feel like its really far away from the city.. (where we live) we also have a lot of relatives coming in from Westchester, so it might be a little far.

try the lands end in sayville. when you guarantee 150 people for a sat night on-season it is $140pp. if you can guarantee 185 or more, the price decreases. beautiful location on the water. check out their website at www.landsendweddings.com.

good luck,

Re: Need help..Wedding location

My minimum requirement at HH was 150 for an off peak month.
I *think* that during peak it's 175 people and the price per person was $25 more.
