I agree, try the Riviera, I am getting married there on 7/30/04. I cant say enough about how helpful everyone has been and the food is good and the setting is great. FM if you have any questions.

Have you looked at Vanderbilt Mansion in Oakdale?
Minimum is 125 for Saturday evening and the pricing is around $125/150pp for sit down dinner.
I'm getting married at the Milleridge Inn next May. They have two catering buildings - there's the Carriage House and the Cottage. I'm using the Carriage House, and the minimum there is 75 people (the Cottage is bigger). I'm paying $65/person plus tax & gratuity. Can't beat that! There's only 1 wedding at a time there too. It's in Jericho (sorry, they don't have a website). There have been many extremely satisfied Milleridge brides on this site....... Good luck!

Carlyle in Bethpage is slightly cheaper than the Carltun - - very pretty. Louis XVI in Patchogue, I believe Captain Bill's is 1 wedding at a time - - both are very nice.

Hi -- Congratulations! We had the same problem with min. #'s. Check out our reception site -- Areca at the Hamlet on Olde Oyster bay in Plainview. (they're a new vendor on this board). We have a 140 person min. Here's a link to some pics.
I am getting married at the Harrison House next May...I think the min is 175 but that is just for a Saturday night...they are flexible with afternoon or friday night weddings. Good Lucj!

For that amount of people and for lower than what you are willing to spend, you should look into the Manor East. The only thing is that it does not do one wedding at a time. It does not do more than two functions at a time and both parties do not see each other. There is an 1 1/2 hours start time between each party and each party has their own bathroom, kitchen, coat check, entrance and exit.

Try the North Ritz Club......It is very classy, one wedding at a time and in your price range. I am getting married there and was very impressed with the NRC

Re: Need help..Wedding location
I looked at North ritz club for a saturday night it was 125PP plus tax and gratuity. We decided on the swan club which Does not do one wedding at a time. but I didnt mind once I saw that place I LOVED IT. they have three different rooms and for our saturday night in June we have the biggest room with the min. of 165 people. they have smaller rooms also. Its also right in the middle of the most expensive month time and day. Swan club is in Roslyn not that far from the city. I heard from FSIL who lives in Bayside that a lot of people she knows are getting married at fountainhead and glen harbor club in westchester and marina del rey in the city I think they might be expensive though. Good luck and remember as soon as you see it you will know its your place and make the decision ure self dont listen to anyone else. Kristin

Re: Need help..Wedding location
I love and would reccommend the Glen Island Harbour Club in New Rochelle. That is where we were originally going to get married but our date was already booked for the room we wanted. We are having our reception at the North RItz Club. I fell in love with it because it is so elegant and classy. And they architects who designed the Glen Island also designed the North RItz so it has the same look. It is also new and they do only one wedding at a time. Hope this helps!! and Good Luck...keep us posted.
