So I am having an outdoor cocktail hour, which obviously in the middle of July is going to be quite hot... Do you think its cheesy to put out a basket of cute fans? Like these maybe? And if you think its cute how many do you think I should order for a wedding of about 225? And remember I dont think any guys are gonna want them. LOL Like 70? More/Less? Or save the $$ and put it towards other things I want to do... Im not sure what to do... And I just dont want them to look stupid or cheesy LOL

i think the fans would be nice, i would count the female guests and order like 15 more just in case.
i was at a wedding last july and the cocktail hour was outside the only thing was that everything was melting(the cheese and meat tables) and a lot of the food went sour, that is just something to consider.

I love it too. Dont think its cheesy at all, think its cute and very classy actually. I would get 100.
But then again- if there is something else you want, you have to decide which is more important to you.

Thank you ladies!!! =)) I thought it was cute too but my friend was like ooo thats soo cheesy! (I think shes just jealous that Im getting married and shes not!) And it made me question it =/ But thank you cause now I feel better about it. =)

We had our ceremony and CH outside and we had program fans Guests took them right into CH. I definitely think it's a great thing to have!!

i like the idea of it alot, but I dont think guests will be focusing on fanning themselves. They are prob gonna be mingling and walking around with a drink in hand, and a plate of food. Maybe consider it for your ceremony...

I bought the wooden fans for my eparty as a favor. I attached a 'save the date' to the string. They look really pretty. Unfortunately, nobody saw the basket, so not everyone took it. I would splurge on them if the ceremony is outside. You can leave them on every other seat.

Fantastic idea. Very sweet of you to think of that.
As far as someone calling it cheesy....I had a friend tell me slipper baskets were cheesy...but she's never seen one in action. I don't plan on doing one but I think they're great.
