NEED HONEST OPINIONS PLEASE!

We've been struggling to come up with an entrance song for the BP at the reception. Our families will be walking in to U2's It's a Beautiful Day. Tonight, FH suggested this song by Dropkick Murphys (if it sounds familiar, they played it a lot thru out The Departed). Ignore the screaming lyrics, we'd just use the intrumental.

Keep in mind... we're Irish but not having an Irish-themed wedding. We want something upbeat but we're not sure if this would just come off as stupid.

HONEST OPINIONS PLEASE! You won't hurt my feelings if you tell me it sounds dumb!

If it makes you feel better about choosing it - I'm using that same song for the entrance for my bridal party!!! I had heard it when watching The Departed and loved it. I suggested it to FH, and he was so surprised that I'd pick a song like this and was very excited!

Is there a way to get a copy without the lyrics? Cause I had planned on just using it with the lyrics, but I wouldn't mind maybe taking out the lyrics. Please let me know! Thanks!

I think it's great but like everyone else said....NO LYRICS just the Music.

I think that song is awesome. watching the giants game, and they are playing it in background every now and then...do you what you guys want...and everyone else will love it because you do! Also, if you like irish music, have you considered the saw doctors?

i am actually a DKM fan and been to their shows. Its a popular song now thanks the departed. I honestly love the intro too but hate the song itself IoI They have really great remakes of traditional songs (i am using for my wedding) that are upbeat too.

Yeah, FH is a huge fan too. He grew up listening to all kinds of Irish music (me.... not so much and it takes a special ear to really appreciate.... this will be the 2nd year in a row I'm being dragged to the Wolftones show at Molly Malones... Jenn, want my ticket?!?! LOL).

Thanks for all the feedback... we're DEFINITELY going to use it. Now... if we could only agree on a first dance song...
