2012er crashing.....Sheraton Four Points in Plainview was great! I worked with Alicia and she was very responsive and helpful! We had the bar stay open late-I think it was like $150 extra. The rooms are actually very nice and even though its on the LIE, you don't hear noise at all. We also did a breakfast the next morning. Everything went very smoothly and we had like 30 rooms booked.

The Commack Motor Inn... My family would hate me forever lol.. Has anyone checked out the hotels on Rt110. It's closer to my parent's house than Plainview.

Need hotel block near Larkfield Manor! - Long Island Weddings

Only problem with Four Points is the distance. If people can't fit in the shuttle and need to wait for a second trip, they'd be waiting for a pretty long amount if time! :(

YAY another larkfield bride!

we picked wingate in commack/ brentwood. that time of year you wont smell the mulch (i'm sure you've read the reviews)-- you may be able to rent a private room for a couple hundred if you furnish the booze/ afterparty? we are considering this for the next morning breakfast... not sure if can do late night.

Wow, today's a great idea day on LIweddings for me... You got me excited about Wingate and being able to rent a private room for an after-(pajama)party. Individual rooms are too small and bars build a tab anyways. A larger private room would be ideal for comfort. Sad to hear they're shutting down operations though. Good Luck with your hunt ladies!

Need hotel block near Larkfield Manor! - Long Island Weddings

Hi ladies I'm seriously considering Larkfield for my wedding, would love your POV's, any helpful tips for negotiating etc. My biggest concern, as I would be in the smaller room, with all wood floors-which I love, is that the other party on the larger room-luckily not another wedding at the date I'm considering, would find there way in my outside area. Did any of you experience any issues with the other party? I'm nervous I'll arrive to take pictures in the lobbey & a bunch of random people will be walking by to the bathroom. I may be over thinking this but would love any feedback! Thanks!

I'm in the large room and there's another party going on in the small room (not a wedding). From what they told me, they make sure to have different start times to avoid running into other guests in the lobby.

@butrfly1rm I went to both the Sheraton and Hyatt and my opinion is that the Hyatt was nicer and better for our needs.

Hyatt pros: renovations, nice lobby bar open late with ample seating for after party and is kind of hidden so not literally in the lobby, large suite w/ dining room table for getting ready or having an after party, nice restaurant/lounge, room block is per night, not per room

Hyatt cons: further away from larkfield, a little more expensive, room block has to be a certain % filled or you are responsible for difference

Sheraton/Upsky pros: close to the larkfield, lower price for guests, no obligation to fulfill room block

Sheraton/Upsky cons: needed some cosmetic renovations, the suite we were shown was a bedroom with seating area and mini-fridge (doesn't work for more than 1-2 people getting hair/makeup done)

If you want any other details, just FM me. I don't think either hotel offered a shuttle to/from larkfield.
