ladies, FH just called to say that he was laid off :( through no fault of his own, his department doesn't have enough billable hours and lost a project that they bid on.... this totally stinks...the wedding's less than 5 months away...

I'm sure he'll find something else, but the kicker is that this job is in Virginia. I know some of you know my dilemma of VA vs NY. But, I just got a teaching job in Virginia on Friday. And now he's unemployed there. We want to be in NY, so maybe this is a blessing in disguise -- except now I have no job here. I thought everything was all set on Friday... man.... so now what if he finds a job in NY quick, but I stil dont get one here??? everything's all screwy now...

could really use some hugs gils! :( thanks for letting me vent

It may be hard to see or think now, but EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON! Whether this now means something BETTER will happen for you both, or something bad WON'T happen now, you have to believe this is for a reason.

And, yes... I'll add that corny saying, 'This, too, shall pass!'

thanks ladies.... i appreciate it.... it's just been an icky day and night and now the pressure is on me to get my NY teaching job.... which is way harder than I thought!!
