Need ideas.

Need ideas.

I am planning the office holiday party, and since our HR department is the OPPOSITE of organized, I booked a place that is way cheaper than the funds we have alotted. I planned it at The Nutty Irishman in Bay Shore, and I am starting to feel guilty about the location- the older people may not like that. So i thought I'd class it up a bit.

I was planning on using $700-800 for Chinese auction- style raffle items, to give away at the party.
I need some good ideas!

So far, I have:

Massage GC
iPOD nano
Portable DVD player
Restaurant GC
jewelry

Please help me!
Also, suggestions for the massage and restaurant GC would be good. My office is in central Suffolk.

PS- it is so fun spending other people's money.
Thanks!

Re: Need ideas.

what about a GC ffrom Pace's Restaurant - great food, and expensive - any older couple would enjoy it, and not have to worry about paying for it.

We go to Pace's for our office holiday party.

Not sure how much you have to spend but how about a 'xxx-of-the-month' club membership? I think the wine of the month is pricey, but they have others I think.

And what about a food package? I bought Mom a chocolate tower from Hershey's years ago. There were five gold boxes, each with some kind of different yummy inside.

Set of 8 movie tickets (or something like that)

Aromatheropy/Relaxation gift basket (eye mask, candles, bubble bath, etc)

Pamper Yourself gift basket (same idea, lotions, etc)

Starbucks basket ( mugs, starbucks coffee/tea and/or giftcard)

For restaurants in Central Suffolk:
Sweetwater (hauppauge)
Butterfields (hauppauge)
Villa Sorrento (Smithtown)
H2O Grill (Smithtown)
Red Dish (Commack)
Chai Baby (Commack)
Pasta Pasta (Port Jefferson)

I shoudl TOTALLY do a jelly of the month club membership. How many people do you think would get a kick out of that?

Stripper of the month would be more work appropriate.

Awesome. That way I could just keep the money

You really should do beer of the month but have it be you delivering 24 packs of beer like coors, bud, miller, etc. Stripping would be optional.

You're brilliant. except on month one, when the lucky winne ris expecting my hot self to roll up with a 12er of natty light- instead I will send my fat hairy neighbor, who only wears wife beaters. and he will likely arrive with 12 empties. but he'd probably play him a mean drum solo.
