Need ideas

We are just getting started with planning. Anyone got flower / centerpiece / placecard ideas? The wedding is 5/25/03. Hoping to try to save a bit on these (esp. the centerpieces and placecards). Thanks

You'll save a ton on flowers for the centerpiece if you stick to flowers in season so they don't have to be shipped from some exotic place. Also, get a pretty arrangement in a vase rather than a huge centerpiece - it will be a fraction of the price.

Using Fruit is also a great way to save money on centerpieces. As for placecard ideas you could combine your favor & placecard by using tiny pails or watering cans w/ small plants(you can make them your self a few weeks before the wedding) & use twigs to hold the place card-the whole thing would probably be about $3.00 each & would look great @ a May wedding.
