Need ideas for a 70th birthday gift, for my uncle...

DH and I have a surprise party to go to..we will probably chip in with my sis and her dh..any ideas?

Budget approx. 75

75 per couple, or altogether?

My Dad's approaching 70 and we usually concentrate on his hobbies. Golfing, taking videos, etc. We've also sent my parents to broadway shows, out to dinner at their favorite restaurant, etc.

Does your uncle have any hobbies?

I would perhaps think of making a Shutterfly album of a collection of pictures from his growing up, to his wedding day; to his children being born and other special events in his life. With the shutterfly album you are able to add words and it would truly be a nice remembrance. It is also only about 30. or so.

Thanks girls...his daughters are already gathering pictures for him. My sis can't make the party so i figured we would spend 75 all together.... I may just get a restaurant gift certificate..I was also trying to think something he could enjoy with his grandchildren.....
