Need ideas for an intimate second wedding
My fiance` and I have been engaged since November and we still have no clue as to what kind of wedding we will have. Money is tight because we both have teenagers to support. I had a large wedding the first time around (he did too) and this time around, we would love to have something very intimate, very romantic yet elegant. I do not want anything tacky just because we are on a budget. I have been divorced for 15 years and I would like this wedding to be very special. I would love to hear from as many people as possible. Thanks!

I would strongly suggest a wedding in the Bahamas. When I first started planning, I thought we were going to have a small wedding there (then we changed our minds and decided to spend money that I hope we won't regret spending:) ...anyway, I had spoken to a highly recommended wedding planner there. Her name is Anna Fox and if you call the Ocean Club in the Bahamas they should be able to give you her contact information. I don't know what I did with it. She can customize an affordable wedding with every bit of detail you want. She can even find beach homes (with a maid and cook) for you to rent out for you and your guest while you're there so you don't have to pay more on hotels. Why did I change my mind???hmmm.... Good luck!

If you don`t mind a destination wedding
why not go to Block Island for an early Fall wedding? You could have a beautiful ceremony overlooking the water. I think there are only a few hotels on the island, so I`m not sure how expensive they are, but maybe the Fall season is a little less than the summer rush, plus it would be less crowded. If not, what about Montauk? A friend of mine is getting married at the lighthouse, and is only planning a very small reception afterwards. I would think that would be a less expensive way to go.

Maybe you can have an outdoor wedding at a beach or park and then have someone cateer something back at your house. My best friend's mom was remarried a few years ago and they had the ceremony at a church and then a small reception in their backyard with just family and close friends - it was a wonderful day. Best of luck with your planning!Welcome New Vendors
