Kathleen even though our anniversary isn't for months I know DH wants a Sharp Aquos tv. One of these days I'll get my arse to Best Buy (or wherever) to see how much they cost and maybe try layaway or something.

Well the traditional gift is paper, so maybe you could buy him tickets to a concert or sporting event. Two tickets of course!!

Re: Need ideas for Anniversary gift for DH

Since the first anniversary gift is paper I decided to stick with that. I got my husband a family tree book that I've filled in with our ancestors information and that our children and grandchildren will be able to fill in with their descendants. I also got him a framed copy of the front page of the NY Times on our wedding day (you can order it through the times website).

My husband didn't realize that the first anniversary was paper so for Christmas he did a few things with paper, and now I think he wishes he had saved these ideas for our anniversary. We wrote our own vows. He had them written in calligraphy and framed. He also bought copies of the sheet music of our first dance song and had that framed.

So, there are a few paper ideas.
