My FH is the type when he wants something he buys it the day it comes out. (He's a big DVD and book man) Shopping for the holidays is hard and so is his birthday. I thought I figured out the best wedding present!!! (We are not your normal big spenders and am lost)
I wanted to get him a remote car starter. Out of nowhere today he tells me he wants to get a remote car starter. We have never uttered the words about a car starter, so I can't believe this!!! Can anyone help me get a gift for him that he'd be able to use? He has really nice watches from being in two weddings and never wears them. Help me!!! TIA

Im in the same boat. We are paying for our wedding and honeymoon plus trying to save for a house. So presents are out of the question. I don't think we are going to get each other gifts for the wedding. So maybe just save the money. If your fi is anything like mine he won't even know you tend to give wedding gifts in the first place.

dont you try something that you both can enjoy if its a little pricey - like satellite radio? or a portable dvd player? or a digital camera??

FH and I are not going to exchange gifts. We really need to save money, besides I don't think he would even have known that people do that! I think we may write each other a card...that's all I need. I love the idea of giving something special that can be passed on (I would definitely do that if we had extra money). Something engraved would be nice. I like the cufflink idea, or a money clip, or a pocket watch. Sorry I don't have any new ideas!
