quick.. about how much does the dj cost? i delegated some things to fh and he is bout to put a deposit on a $4k DJ! which seems way WAY overpriced to me!

i was thinking 1200 to 1500 tops..

totally depends on what you're looking for.
You can get a dj for under $1400 and a good one at that...

or you can spend over $3000 easy by getting a lot of add ons with an already expensive company.

also...we're having a 6 piece band plus a dj for less than $4000 and we're getting married at around the same time as you.

thank you!! i will fm you.... groomzilla seems to be determined that he will do the dj thing all byhimself. he's upsetting me with this too.. i asked him bout the prices and he told me ' they are good.. in MY range' what the heck? won't tell me what's in the package.. jut that the mime show was hot.. WHAT??? am i a stranger asking personal questions? i'm asking how much WE are going o pay for a dj.. he acts like i'm asking for national secrets..

i swear if a mime shows up at our wedding i will be TOO THROUGH!

my girlfriend said she doens't see why i'm surprised.. that fh has been a groomzilla since he stated he wanted a VIP section at the wedding.and a helicopter after the reception..

Our DJ and MC cost around $1000. 4K scares me. That's double what I would even imagine paying.

no WAY! 4k is WAY to much in my opinion!!! we spent way under 2k and our dj was incredible!(and we add-ons!)

I was looking at around 3k but that included, DJ and MC, ceremony music, Live Jazz band for cocktail hour, the video montage thingy, a dvd of pictures, & lights.....

You can def. do under 4K!

Look in to Vinny from High Voltage or FM Entertainment! Both have VERY low prices and excellent reviews!!! 4k is

it depends on what you want............ my Dj has a basic package 1 man for $895 ( just dj not lights basic) our package was about 1250 for 2 man DJ and Mc 4 hour reception and cocktail hour no lighting

We realized very quickly that all the add on's can add up...ours ended up being triple what we expected

I got a DJ, 2 photographers and an assistant all day, a reverend, and my flowers for less than $4k.

Your FI better be getting Wolfman Jack back from the dead for $4k.

We paid $4,000 but got lots of lights, smoke machines, our name in lights, 2 plasma screens, a photo montage and a percussionist for 5 hours.
