NEED LOCATION FOR BRIDAL SHOWER

hi i'm actually a maid of honor and not a bride. but i desperately need help. I need to find a location for the bridal shower. Unfortunately my home is too far out of the way for everyone, so i decided to have it at the bride's(my best friend)apartment. i discussed this with her and we both agreed that this would be best since she would need to haul all the gifts back to her place and it would be a more relaxed atmosphere. however after sending the invitations, we found out that her fiancee who is living with her, does not want it to happen there. Anyway now i need to QUICKLY find a restaurant or alternate location to have her shower which is next satarday, june 2. I would like to find a place in Manhattan. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thank you in advance. maidofhonor

NEED LOCATION FOR BRIDAL SHOWER

you should try minettas tavern a little restaurant with great food on the corner of minetta & macdougal down in the village. the food is great and tocca the owner is very nice. they have a back room that they could move the tables around in . Good luck.

NEED LOCATION FOR BRIDAL SHOWER

i`m not sure they would be available on such short notice, but King`s Carriage House on the upper east side is great for showers. it`s a tea & scones kind of place, but very relaxed. totally none of my business - but i can`t believe her fiance would put you both in such a position! good luck!!! :)

For low-key, try Carmines on 91st. Street, West Side

They have a party room and everyone usually enjoys the family style. I went to a graduation dinner there which was tons of fun!

Look in Zagat -- Rest. with Private Room

They have a section which includes restaurants with private rooms. Start calling places ASAP!
