Need Major Registry Help

Need Major Registry Help

I am addicted to our registry and I just continue to add things. If you and FH already live together, did you register for new items that you already have, like flatware, glasses, everyday dinnerware, etc? And did you register for both everyday dinnerware and formal dinnerware? This stuff is so expensive and I feel so greedy putting it on there, especially if we already have it but I just like this new one better. Opinions?

We have lived together for years-we put stuff on our registry that we wanted new or updated and things that we needed. Dont feel greedy-this is your wish list!!! We registered for everyday dinnerware and flatware-did not register for china, only b/c we are going to be inheriting an a$$ load of china and really we will almost never use it.

yes we registered for all new things ... we live together and the stuff we have was just to get by so i thought we would ask for new stuff .... when i had my shower all i really got was pots and kitchen stuff ... i got none of my bedding or towels or really anything that i thought people would just think we needed .... we did get some gift cards for bb&b so we went yesterday and bought a ton of stuff off our registry LOL

Us too, we have so much stuff that we need to replace b/c we have been together for 9 years...
We too inherited 2 sets of china from my great grandmother (big Italian family w/ 2 sets of serving for 12) LOL

I've been feeling the same way. I would love a new set of dishes, but the ones I have are still OK.

I've decided it's OK to have nice new stuff, the dishes and flatware we have are old and starting to chip, the flatware is pretty lightweight and I'd love to have some nice weighty flatware. My pots/pans are still really nice, my parents gave me a calphalon set when I first moved out, so we are registering for some extra pieces here and there.

FH and I do live together and got a lot of gifts for our engagement party. We got everyday plates and silverwear and such... for our wedding registry we ordered fine china, crystal things such as picture frames and wine/champagne/martini glasses, vases, luggage...things like that. We have all of our everyday things... we just kept the registry to the 'traditional' registry items.

FH and I have lived together for 2 years and we both lived on our own before that, so we had a LOT of stuff already. Since we're paying for the wedding ourselves, we decided only to register for stuff we needed and keep our original stuff that's still in good condition so that we could have a small registry and hopefully recoup some of the money we're spending...as selfish as that sounds...
