I normally wear absolutely no makeup at all and really need some advice. When I came home from my trial, my FH said that it looked like I had way too much makeup on and that he didn't like it.
He likes the more natural makeup look, but my makeup artist told me that by making me look more natural, I will look washed out in pictures and as a bride, I should have something a little more glamorous than an everyday look, especially for my gown. So now I'm totally confused.
What are you ladies doing? Natural, glam, or somewhere in between? Does anyone know how these looks will come out in pictures?
I'll attach a picture of my gown and tiara too - do you think that it requires something more than a natural look?
Thank you So much for your help!!
(P.S. I'm at 99 days today - double digits!!! Woo-hoo!!! )

I understand your feelings but I have to agree with Jacqueline - if you don't wear much that day you will look washed out. A girlfriend of mine kept yelling that she had too much on and took most of it off and she now hates her pictures b/c she is so pale.
I would go back to JN and do another trial - ask to do the airbrush (its so much lighter and you totally don't feel like you're wearing foundation) and to maybe use the same colors but in a lighter shade.
I came home from my trial with her and my DH hated it - let me tell you, that day he kept telling me how great my makeup looked LOL. My pictures came out great - my skin looked flawless and my eyes really popped. I don't have individual pics but here is the link to the site my brother made me so you can see my makeup:
Like I said - just go back to her and be honest. I went for 2 trials and ended up going with the second round of colors. And definitely try the airbrush - it was awesome.
Good luck!!! You'll be beautiful!!!!

Can you FM me her info? I want something neutral too! Do you pay for her to come to your house the day of? Thanks!

Same here...I never wear makeup and when I came out of my first trial I was embarrassed to go the bank. So I had another trial from a mary kay girl that came to my house and she was great. Everything was neutral colors and looked very natural. FI, my mom, and my sis loved it.

I think there has to be a good medium...If you have your make-up tooo light...it won't show up in pics and if you have tooo much it looks nasty in pics... Even though you may think that you have a lot on...take a picture of yourself! Just to see how it looks in pics!

Thank you so much ladies for all of your wonderful advice and suggestions!!! I really appreciate it! You are all so terrific!
wc0143 and Anniegrl - you both looked so beautiful! (And I happen to love both of your bouquets too!) TwoBugs - thanks for the compliments!
I'm going to have at least another trial with my makeup artist to try a few more looks. The foundation from my 1st trial with her looked and felt awesome, very light and natural. It was the blush, eyes, and lips that threw my FH for a loop! (My first trial with a different person, while it looked more natural color wise, had a much heavier foundation that I absolutely hated.) I'm hoping to find a happy medium that my FH will love and that will look terrific in pics. I think I'll try to play up my eyes and go with a more subtle lip color.
Thank you all again!!

I hate foundation as well but then I found Bare Essentuals. They sell their powder foundation on ebay and also on the HSN. It is the best. You look natural since its only minerals, not synthetics. I can't live without it and plan to go to them to get make-up tips at their store here in California and then do my own. They are only located on the west coast but my wedding is in NY. I will not use anything else. Their eyeshadow, blushers, and all other products are great too without that made up feeling. You will love them.

Here are 2 pics that I would love my M/u to look like...
If you normally wear NO Make up- I would stay away from the glam look - But personally, I think a bride w/ TOO natural of a look doesn't really look like a bride, - you just look like a woman in a white dress. - It's your WEDDING day ! - You have to look a LITTLE bit done up !! Also, if you don't have enough makeup on, all of that $$$ you've spent on a photographer will be wasted b/c you WILL look washed out. - Do something in between - Maybe try a different makeup artist. - someone you're more comfortable with - be sure to emphasize the fact that you normally do not wear ANYTHING
