I would like you ladies to take a look on the size chart at the bottom of this page and tell me what size dress I should order. I know i am getting size ones but I have a BM that is a little bit bigger.
looks like a 10 and you can get it altered to fit the rest of her maybe

When I got sized for my wedding gown, they told me you have to go with the largest of the three measurements, unless the skirt part was a-line or ballgown - then the hip measurement doesn't matter too much.

You have the waist and hip measurements reversed right? If so, I'd say she needs a 10, but is that dress measurement with the laced up back tied tight, or tied how it is in the picture? She might be able to get away with the 8 if she can loosen the tie in the bust area, and then the dress would need less alterations overall. But then again, I'm no seamstress....sorry, I'm no help.

am I reading her measurements wrong? Her hips are 28 and her waist is 38?
A 38 inch waist is like a 14 or 16 according to the chart

You have to go by her waist size cuz the dress is fitted in the waist, I say do the 14, she can have the top taken in.

definitely a size 14. it can always be altered to fit the bust and hips.
