need my liw ladies

i feel like i cant watch wedding shows since it makes me realize how much my dress isnt for me. I feel like I'm constantly dealing with 'oh that isnt you, oh thats so gaudy, not you..... oh thats too much...its not you'

Is it a crime to want to look glamorous and different on my wedding day?

The more I think the more I want to go to a bridal salon myself and find 'me.'

Sorry, I needed to vent to my favorite ladies who I knew would understand...

I'm sorry you're going back and forth on your dress!!! You are not wrong for wanting to look glamourous or different on your wedding day! Its YOUR day, no one elses! You need to love the way you look. Wedding shows do the same thing to me and I am constantly questioning my own dress. If it wasn't non-refundable (or not out my budget) I probably would have exhanged it like 3 times by now. If YOU love your dress thats all that matters and there no need to find one thats more 'you'. You will only drive youself crazy trying to find the one thats more 'you'. Remind yourself of all the reasons you love your dress and why you bought it in the first place. I have to do the same thing sometimes! No worries!

thanks I feel like the dress I picked I was pressured into since according to everyone else, every other one ' wasnt me' but I feel like there's nothing I can do about it now. Now I'm dealing with this with the jewelry Im buying too. Its so frustrating.

Don't settle for anything you're not in love with. I speak from experience...I now have 4 necklaces, 2 sets of earrings and bracelet to return lol Good luck on your search!!

No problem!

As far as opinions goes, I try to rely on the girls on LIW! They usually don't know you personally...so they will tell you honestly what they think of the stuff you pick out! Sometimes you really just wanna know whats pretty, whats not, what matches, what doesn't..etc etc. It doesnt help when friends tell you 'oh thats not you'. Pick what you like and if you need extra opinions, put ask the people on here! Go with the earring you picked, it will help everything else come together!

I was dealing with something very similar when describing to my mom the way my hair, hair piece and m/u will look. she kept insisting how wrong I was and how much she just LOVES me with my hair up and all elegant and how 'me' it was
I didnt listen, just kept telling her (more like yelling) to leave me alone and let me make decisions regarding how will I look on my wedding day to me
my point is: its one thing to ask ppl's opinions and for them to give them out, but in the end its u and ur choices/vision. YOUR wedding pix.
just go with what u love.

btw, after seeing how everything came together at the wedding my mom admitted that I was 100% right

I am so sorry you are dealing with this!! Try not to worry about what other people say...I know it is easier said then done. You know what you love and how you want to look on your wedding day. I am sure your dress is beautiful and you look great it in. I am also sure you will find perfect DOJ that you love. If you ever doubt anything ask us.
