Need opinions about direction card

We are making a direction card for our ceremony since it is all the way at the Fire Island Light House.

Is it tacky to put this on it:

Park on the east side of the parking field (left of the ocean) and follow the boardwalk right to the lighthouse. It is a 1/2 mile walk or you may wait for the shuttle that we will have. Please allow extra time to arrive at the ceremony for the walk or the shuttle.

I dont see anything wrong with it If anything I think it's really informative and helpful.

I only ask because someone I know said that it is underlying saying that ' I dont want you to walk in late in the middle of the ceremony'

I didnt even think of that- I thought that I was trying to be informative. Now, I feel weird!

Nah - I really didnt get that vibe from it. It really just sounds like you want your guests to be aware of the shuttle and to allot enough time for that. I say your fine

i dont think its tacky at all...people are inevitable late to begin with and in your case you need guests to allow themselves even more time...i say put that!!! and I love the fire island lighthouse....i love fire island in general...great idea

i think it's fine, in fact I think it's great and informitive b/c if i got there and then realized it was a 1/2 mile walk I'd be annoyed and even more upset if i walked and then found out there was a shuttle.

I don't think it's tacky at all. I do think it's tacky to show up late to a wedding.
but either way i didn't read it as 'don't be late'
