Need Opinions.,, Am I wrong...

Ok here is the situation.. I was talking to my SIl and she tells me today that she going to be babysitting her nephew(brother's son) and they are planning on staying at my inlaws becasue they do not want to deal with the pack and play (and they live in a one bedroom).. they are planning to use the criib at my inlaws.. The crib that my little girls rolls around in chews on the bumpers etc.. this little boy is a very droolie kid and is always sick.. am i wrong to be annpyed that thye are doing this becasue my inlaws are on vacation....If it was THEIR child i would not be feeling this way. They are going to be using the high chair) she loves to chew the straps) and all the stuff that she touchs... Do you know if I can do when i have to clean the bumpers..etc....like can i use lysol...antibacterial wipes?

I just want to kn ow if I should feels this way or am i wrong...

That would bother me too. Just wipe everything down with warm water and clean it the best you can, wash what can be washed.

If you paid for the items then you have every right to ask that they only be used for your child but if your inlaws provided the items then IMO those are more 'general' items and therefore any child in their home could use them.

You can use a solution of vinegar and water to disinfect all items. You can also wash the bedding and purchase a chew guard for the crib.

Eeew.... As soon as they leave, I would invest in some Lysol wipes for the crib and launder the bedding... YUCK...

Especially if hes sick all the time.. {{{shudders}}} You are much nicer than I am... I would have left them with no bedding

At they daycare I worked we would bleach everything down...

Or use this Simple Green stuff. The daycare used it for all the toys and things that kids constantly put their mouths on.

I'm not a mom - but I think I would be upset too. Just make sure you wash everything and it should be fine though...
