Need opinions - Booking Wedding This November

Went to visit a hall today and loved it. They had an opening in November of this year. Need opinions, would it be unreasonable to try and plan a wedding in 8 months? Am I crazy?

It might be stressful but I'm sure it could be done! You might have to get your wedding dress ASAP to avoid rush fees though. Honestly, we would have gotten married this fall if we had the funds to do it that quickly, we just wanted to give ourselves the extra time to save up for it. If you can afford it then want not go for it! Watermill is great, we were really considering them (love their food!) until we saw East Wind. Good luck!!

Its totally doable... but yes... you'd have to rush certain things. My cousin got engaged in November and is getting married this June!

Just like Alyssa said above... FH and I also would've gotten married this coming winter but we want the extra funds and the time to save up!

My FSIL was engaged for only 3 months and had an awesome wedding at CHCC! It might get a little stressful at times, but it can be done!

One of my friends got engaged in December and is getting married in June!! I wouldnt be able to handle it but, if you move quickly I am sure it will be fine!

It is most definitely doable. My cousin got engaged New Years Eve, and they just booked their venue for July of this year yesterday.

I personally am glad that it worked out that I have a longer engagement, because I have had a lot of trouble finding the things that I want to fit my budget and vision (I saw 35 venues, and I'm up to about 11 photographers).

If you're more easy going and willing to compromise, it will probably be much easier for you.

It all depends on what's more important. Getting a good price and getting married sooner, or having more time to plan. There are pros and cons for both. Good luck!!

I think it's totally doable! I'm about halfway through a year and a half engagement and while there are definitely pros to a long engagement I kinda want to get this show on the road already....and I still have 10 months to go!

You can totally do it. We got engaged in September and the only thing we haven't booked is someone for our invites. I actually always wish our wedding was this November instead of next November!

It can be done, as the other ladies have said be prepared for stress.

I suggest having a bridal party that actually has time to be very helpful. Since it less than 9 months away I would try to negotiate price for that reason on top of it being a fall/winter.

I am doing November of this year and got engaged right before Christmas...it is very do-able as long as you have the $$$$ and the time to make lots of appointments in the first few months, after that it should slow down...

as long as you have the $ and patience it can be done. and most of all make sure if you have a photographer you know you HAVE TO HAVE or a DJ you really want that they are still open because I think vendors would be a bigger issue than time
