Need opinions Now with an UPDATE!!

Thus far I have been very open to letting my BP make choices, but I feel like now(esp. my sister who is one of my MOH's, i have 2) is taking advantage fo this.

I want all the girls in full length dresses,m shes whining saying she wants tea length and its like a battle if she doesnt get her way and gives me attitude and I can't be stressing over this.

2 of my BMs had requested straps, and the 2 MOHS want strapless.

FH told me that I'm the and it should be my choice, and that if I want them al in the same dress and make the 2 MOHs stand out by using larger diff. bouquets instead then i sholud just do that. thing is I don't know how the other 2 wil react if I now tell them I would prefer them all to wear strapless dresses. One of my MOH(my best friend) told me its my wedding and whatever dress I want is what everyone should wear and not to worry about it, but I don't know if this will cause drama. I just feel this is becoming everyone elses wedding other than mine.

What would you do?

So I emailed one of my BMs that I didnt think would give me a hard time about the possiblity of everyone wearing strapless, and she writes back, 'Please reconsider about the strapless, I won't feel comfortable'

I say you pull the Bridezilla card and tell them it's your wedding and they way you envisioned it, is the way it's going to be.. You aren't going to please everyone, so why not make yourself happy.. you are the important one in this picture..

I was just in a wedding where we wore strapless dresses that came with detachable straps. The bride asked that we have no straps for the ceremony and pictures and after that she didn't care. That way she got the look she wanted, but once the reception started a couple of the girls snapped their straps on and were comfortable for the party.
Maybe that could be an option for you?

I had a couple of girls who didn't care and a couple of girls that didn't want strapless.

I brought two girls with me to try the dresses on and they both agreed on one of them, a strapless with attachable straps to make everyone happy. When the dresses came in, and they were the right size for the people, the anti-strapless girls decided that they were ok with it being strapless because it came up high enough in the front and came with a matching shawl.

u should absolutely be upset and stressed about it-- i would freaking kill them-- who the hell do they think they are? will it really HURT them to wear a dress for 6 hours of their life?? i mean, c'mon!!!!!!

I was going to do the same thing and was afraid of the same problem. I ended up going with my MatOH and narrowing it down to 2 dresses then brought the girls with me and told them to pick between the 2 which one they were all going to wear. I know it's 'going back on your word' ( I was told this by one of my BM) but giving them the choice of 2 dresses, both of which could have little straps seemed to work.

i know what its like to not want to wear strapless...I'm never comfortable in them...but its YOUR wedding, they're being a little difficult.

What about if you get strapless and let them all wear a shall or shrug. Then if anyone wants to take it off at the hall, that is their choice. I think that might be a good compromise.

exactly its not so much the 'strapless' it the fact that theyre telling me what 'THEY' want, and to tell me'reconsider I won't be comfortable' really upset me, because its like what about my comfort you know.

It's your day! If you want them all in the same dress, then do it. Your BMs will just have to deal. It''s not that long out of their lives, and when they agreed to be BMs they agreed to support you and be there for you. Not to make drama and stress for you. Go with what YOU want! Your BMs will be ok with it in the long run. Or maybe as suggested above, get a shawl? Good luck! and try not to stress over it!

I was recently in a wedding that had strapless gowns and being a VERY BUSTY gal I wanted straps, my bride didnt care, she just wanted me to be comfortable. When I got the dress back it looked terrible with straps. What if you just tell them they ccan wear the straps after pics, like for danceing and make a compromise?
