Need opinions on BM dress color combinations! w/poll... **UPDATED WITH NEW PIC.

We're going to use Bill Levkoff #966 in Satin (thanks everyone who said that satin WAS okay for July!)

Now, here's the question...
What color should the sash be?

Here's the dress (in the sample color... NOT the color we're going to use).

We're going to use a pale pink for the main color of the dress, and I'm unsure of what color to make the sash.

I like the idea of white, to match my wedding dress (Justina McCaffrey dress in diamond white).

I also like the idea of black, to match the guy's tuxes.

Someone had suggested to just keep the dress one color, so make the sash the same pink... but I feel like this takes away from the fun of the dress!

I'd love to hear if you have any other suggestions. Please keep in mind that my flowers are going to be very pale pinks and whites (no dark pink!)

ETA:
Here is a picture of a different dress (WE ARE NOT USING THIS DRESS), just so you can see how the combination of pink and black look together. [Don't mind the face... or lack thereof! I just don't want to put my BMs face on here without telling her!]

It sounds like you'd rather the sash to be a different color than the dress, so I'm thinking pink is really OUT! So, I'd say black......I think pink & black look really nice together, and white might not be right since it's a pale pink dress. Good luck!!!

I'd go with black. White may look too washed out and its nice when the BM match the GM

I think pink, either the same color of the dress or a shade darker. I am not fond of the black with the pink, since it is a summer wedding I think pink will be nicer.

I agree that making the dress one color takes away from the dress...but i voted other. One of the 07 girls, Jess wore that dress in pink on pink with darker pink sash and they looked gorgeous-maybe FM her to get the pic.

Are you thinking 'off white' or 'white'? I think off white would look nice too.

I would do pink on pink but a daker pink sash and changes the flowers to shades of pink the black IMO looks too harsh on such a pale pink.

I LOVE that dress one of my Favorites (and was the runner up for my BM) I love the two tone color...the sash makes it fun to put in a different color... I Love pink with the black...

For those that suggested the darker pink ---

The only reason I wasn't putting this as an option is because my flowers are very light/pale pinks and whites... and I didn't want to throw a random dark pink into the mix. I'd like to keep the flowers those colors (I'm not a big fan of dark pink.. JMO!).

I vote black.
LOVE pink & black together... no matter what time of year.

The darker pink sash would still be OK with your choice of flowers. I would vote for that.

First of all I love the Levkoff 966, why not Black w/the sash in white. I'm a sucker for two toned!

yay!.. i get to wear this dress.. (im in the wedding) the reason we didnt want to go with brown is because we want to match the gm and they're wearing black.. also to throw into the mix should we go long or tea length???
