need opinions on this....

Ok- so back in early February, I e-mailed a vendor I liked- photographer about a package and got a quote. Well time went on school got busy etc etc etc and I just hadn't had the change to follow up. I thought I lost the quote so I e-mailed the vendor asking for the same package quote.
I found my original e-mail and just received an e-mail for $500 higher than the original quote!!
Do you think they are even worth looking at? I don't see how your package can go up $500 in two months, especially since this is the same year we are talking about here!!!!

What do you ladies think?

if it is the exact same package to a T it would piss me off & I wouldn't meet with them.

I would let them know that you were given a previous quote for $500 less and if they aren't willing to honor that then I would definitely not book with them!

Our RH wrote down our pp price as $3 less than what she had originally quoted us for and when we showed her the error she said ' i wrote it then that is what it is!' so we got $3 less pp!!

I agree with mrspy. They should honor the price they originally said if not go somewhere else.

Sometimes if they find out that a particular month is popular (like if 3 more couples called inquiring about that weekend), they may feel that they can be a little more competitive. But, like the other girls said, if they quoted you one price, then they should honor it. And most probably will.

I wouldn't be too upset or take it personally. There also may be more than one person corresponding from the same company email and maybe the owner would write $500 less to try to get business, but another member of the staff wouldn't take it upon themselves to take money off before meeting with you.

If you like their work, call and point out the discrepancy and see how they handle it.

This!! When we went to look at our photographer I went knowing that a friend of mine paid $5,000 for photo and video and got married in the beginning of Dec. They told me $7000 because the time of year was different. Sorry, but March isn't exactly prime time wedding season, I really loved their work and got them to go down a little but if I didn't already have my heart set on them I would have looked elsewhere because I feel that in terms of a photographer, regardless of the time of year, they're still providing the same service.
