Sunny, we plan on doing the same thing. Very similar to what ddunne did. We are getting married in December, close to the holidays, so we decided to take a small honeymoon in the Poconos right after the wedding and then plan a nice honeymoon trip to a 'warm' location in the Spring.

I think Vegas is a great idea and spending time alone together is the most important thing after all, it shouldn't matter where it is. [Though warm and tropical is always good in my book

I am doing this. We are going to go somewhere local after the wedding for 4 days and then 6 months later do our honeymoon. It'll give us time to save.

We're doing this. My FH is going back to school in Sept full time to get his MBA. He decided this after we picked and booked a 9/20 wedding! So, he will be moving to Chicago late Aug and I will join him after we're married. He will fly in the day of the RD and then go back the day after the wedding. In Dec during his break, we're going on our hm.

At first I was disappointed but not anymore! It will be nice to have something else to look forward to after the wedding. And after my first winter in Chicago - I'll need a vacation!

VEGAS - my FI would be so MAD he wants that to be our ENTIRE HM. Well I had to set him straight

I think that's a wonderful idea though!!!!!! That's like getting a Whole moon and a half moon

we go back and forth on this...on one hand - its so so so so so so much $$ but on the other hand, we want to relax together and have special memories....follow your heart and your gut....you don't want to regret it either way....good luck!!
