Okay, I had a very, very small shower about a week ago. Only a few people.
Anyway, what do you think about my idea?
Instead of mailing thank yous, I was thinking I would have a Thank You Card with the person's name, example 'For Mindy', attached to the person's favorite bottle of wine on the assigned table at my wedding as their Thank You for coming to my shower.
What do you all think?

You still need to send a personal thank you card. People will think that is the favor. And it's really nice to specifically acknowledge the gift giver and their gift.

I will, in the card attached to the bottle wine. The card will say 'For Mindy' and in the card I will be thanking her for her gift.

It sounds like a great idea. To play devil's advocate, though, my only concern would be the other people at the table. Wwould they know why Mindy got wine and they didn't? Some people might think that Mindy was getting special treatment for being at the shower.
Either way, I still think a hand-written thank you is appropriate.

I think that is a really nice idea. I would love a thank you like that! Nice and personal.

I kind of agree. I love the idea, but I wonder if you could give it to the people who came to your shower in another way or at another time/place. I just wonder how the other people at the table will feel.

Nice idea....but it makes those that were not at your shower feel left out, plus someone may steal it. I'd do the favorite wine, btu send it to them directly.

its a nice idea, but i think that you should send formal thank yous....and also, other people at the wedding might feel bad that they werent invited to the shower
