Need Place in Nassau to take pictures....

I called Westbury Gardens & they want $275 to use their grounds, sorry but after paying an arm & a leg for the photography alone, I can't afford to spend this much for a location!!! Anyone have any ideas where I can take pictures in Nassau Cty, that's not going to charge me a small fortune??? Thanks!

why don't you go to eisenhower park or try the planting fields arboretum.. oooh, also try jones beach!!

We are going to use EAB plaza...they charge, but it is cheaper than Westbury Gardens. I think the fee is $125.

Is there a place on JOnes Beach where I don't have to step on the sand? I know that's a dumb question but I don't feel like getting all full of sand on my wedding day.

what you have to do is have your driver pull into where the boardwalk restaurant is.. you'll be right on the boardwalk!! and then you guys can take pics!

You can go to the Planting Fields in Oyster Bay (I think they charge $95) or the Cutting Arboretum in Oakdale (very beautiful place and I think there is just a parking fee but check). I am also going to look into Morgan Park in Glen Cove for our pictures (a cousin went there and her shots were beautiful; there is a grassy park area and the beach on the Sound; no fees but you are supposed to be a town resident).

EAB is right across from Nassau Col. in Hempstead/Uniondale. They have beautiful tropical gardens inside with a pretty waterfall. We are getting married in Dec, so I definately wanted to have a specific warm place for pics since the weather could be brutal. Here is a link....

there is a nice little park with a beautiful gazebo next to the garden city hotel on stewart avenue. there are brides there every weekend taking pictures. i think it might be free! i'd call the town & check it out first.

Spel: That's where I'm taking my pics!! Our church (St. Paul's Catherdral) is a few blocks away. I found it because my friend's cousin took her pics there. She said it was free, but I'm going to call anyway to double check.

I know they do weddings, so see if you can take just photos there!

What about the water on the North Shore? Bayville? Oyster Bay? You can take photos on the docks.

How about Sagamore Hill in Oyster Bay. I'm not sure if they allow photos, but it may be worth checking out.

Ohh...and what about CW Post? I believe they have a rose garden.

We saw a picture at our photographers studio that was absolutely amazing .. and he said it was taken at EAB Plaza.

WOW! these places are ALL awesome!! I'll have to call a few, I called the Arborateum in Oakdale & it's actually FREE in October, however it will be too far for us to go to, we want to keep it close to the CB because we would like to go there & take a few pictures too. But I'll try some of the other places you girls listed, Thank you all for your help, I really do appreciate it!!!
