My daddy was diagnosed w/prostate cancer today. Luckily they caught it early but it still really *****. They're gonna do the surgery to remove his prostate in January - he wanted to wait till after my wedding but the doc told him no - gotta love daddy putting his daughter first in a life/death situation..he's crazy.
he seems to be ok so far since the inital shock wore off, but i am so sad. i want to move back to ny TODAY but i know that's not happening anytime soon.
just need your hugs n prayers for my daddy. i don't want anything to happen to him....i wish he was invincible.
k. im gonna try to stay upbeat so i dont cry for the entire night. ugh this *****.

I am sooo sorry about your Dad!!!
we are here for you if you need ANYTHING!!!!!! Don;y worry - your Dad sounds like a tough guy wanting to hold off until after your wedding and I'm sure he will be fine!!

thanks for the hugs n prayers...i didnt know that his dad had it and his brother had it too., both had it removed - nonno died of pneumonia/water on the brain or lungs ??? and my uncle is doing ok so i hope daddy does well too. but i appreciate your thoughts!!!!

Prostate cancer is very common in men and almost inevitable so it's really a blessing in disguise that they caught it early. I know it doesn't seem like much, but it really is a good thing it was diagnosed now. I'm sure he'll be fine in no time! He'll be all better to dance with you at your wedding!!!

I am so sorry to hear about your dad. I can't imagine how upset you must be right now. Most of the men in my step dad's family have had prostate cancer and all of them are doing fine to this day. Thankfully they caught your dad's really early. My thoughts and prayers are with you!

Im so sorry but thank god they caught it early.And your dad sounds like a great guy!! This wont keep him or your family down he will beat it keep your head up and i will keep your Dad and your family in my prayers

Im so sorry, I know how you feel, Im going through the SAME EXACT THING right now, with both my parents!!! Its never-freakin-ending!!! As soon as we think someone is ok, the next person gets cancer! I HATE IT
